I wonder what would happen if I just gave up some of my vices? Is there anything to return to at all? Or have they just become such a part of me that taking them away will basically leave me with nothing? Really scary thought.
my experience suggests to me that giving up vices really doesn't effect the individual very much except to make them slightly less happy(temporarily). making more out of it than that is some type of fantastical thinking, ie; "I am the liquor".... no, you're just a naked ape as all of us, intaking whatever you have an appetite for and expelling very little. in that sense, nothing will change "who you are"

yeah, I had something a little more drawn out, but couldn't really express it. so I decided to investigate that.
